Graveside services for Betty Lou Herring of Tyler will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.

 

          Betty Lou Herring was born March 31, 1932 in Tyler to the late George Edgar Kelly and Vallie Burke Kelly.  Betty passed away on Saturday May 25, 2013 at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler.

 

Betty was of Baptist faith and enjoyed crocheting, reading and playing with her beloved dogs.

 

Betty is survived by her husband Oliver Herring, Son Billy Herring, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Eddy Herring.

Services for Edward Thomas Rowe of Chandler will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.

 

          Edward Thomas Rowe was born on August 12, 1923 in Shreveport, LA to Thomas and Thelma Rowe.   Edward passed away on May 23, 2013 in the presence of loved ones. Edward Rowe graduated from Longview High School and attended both Kilgore College and Tyler Junior College.  Edward retired from GE & Trane after 35 years of service as a Maintenance Electrician.  His wife, Doris, said it best when she described her husband as her "Everything".  He was a "True man" and a "Great Father".

 

          Edward is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris Rowe, Daughter, Virginia Gale Nipp and Son-in-law Dale Nipp of Chandler. Son –in-law David Tidmore  (husband of the late Ann Rowe Tidmore) of Chandler.  Grandchildren;  Sabrina Spurrier and Husband Bob of Royce City, Jeremey Tidmore and wife Casey of Chandler, Elana Tidmore and Husband Ryan. Greatgrandchildren; Christopher Spurrier,  Andrew, Hunter & Matthew Tidmore.

 

          Edward was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Thelma Rowe and his Daughter Ann Rowe Tidmore.

Mr. Harrington passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Tyler.  He was born on October 20, 1947 in Nacogdoches to the late William Lacy Harrington and Alice Inez Minick.   Bill attended TJC as well as served in the U.S. Air force.  His working career included employment with Trane Corporation where he retired from.

 

He is survived by his Brother Robert Harrington and his wife Linda, Sister Jennifer Montgomery, Nephews Matt and Josh Harrington, niece Jennifer Montgomery and nephew Justin Montgomery

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Steve White family and to Clarence Strickland for their support at this difficult time.

Funeral services for Glenda Evonne Cox, 75, of Humble will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.  Roy F. Thoene  officiating.  Burial will be in the Rock Hill Cemetery in Brownsboro under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

 

She was born on April 5, 1937 in Troup to Rev. John H. and Eula Mae Kilgore Barkley and passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2012 in Humble.

 

Glenda graduated from Whitehouse High school and Federal Institute of Tyler.

 

She was an accomplished business woman. She served as President of Tyler and Houston Chapters of Association of Legal Administrators, as well as Regional Vice President and committee member on Long Range Planning Committee and Nominating Committee of the National Association of Legal Administrators. Glenda was employed as legal secretary and later as legal administrator of firms in both Houston and Tyler, retiring from Ramey & Flock in 2001.  Mrs. Cox and her late husband, Don, later owned their own business- Rock Hill Antiques & Collectables.  She enjoyed antiquing and traveling.

 

Mrs. Cox is survived by her son, Lawrence Cox, and wife Debbie ; Daughter Janis and Husband Jimmy Coyle; four grandchildren,  Brother-in-law Buck Brown and his daughters Judy Cofer and Husband Bruc, and Rebecca DuBose and Husband Henry.  Along with other family members including nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins, and valued friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don D. Cox; sister, Nelda Barkley Brown; and nephew, Ronald Buck Brown.

 

There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Carl was an Electrical Engineer, employed with the US Army Civil Service Department. He enjoyed golf bowling and attended First Baptist Church of Tyler for many years.  Carl always enjoyed playing with his children and grandchildren.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Nancy Chase of Avondale, AZ and son Michael J. Jordan of San Pedro, CA; his 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Chris S. Jordan, Curtis R. Jordan and Ray C. Jordan. Carl is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen Claire Jordan whom passed away in 2009, and his son Charles H. Jordan whom passed away in 2012.

Visitation will be Friday, November 23 at Lloyd James Funeral home from 5-7 P.M., Memorial service will be Saturday November 24 at 11:30 A.M. Lloyd James Chapel.
