obit for Ralph Malone from Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas

Memorial Services for Ralph E. Malone, 79 of Tyler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Daryl Dunks Officiating.  The family will receive visitors from 1-2 pm at the church.

 

Ralph went to be with the lord on Saturday afternoon.  Ralph was born in Lindale, TX on January 3, 1933 to James P. and Ruby Wood Malone.  Ralph was retired from Howe Baker as accounting supervisor. He also worked at LaGloria and IBM.

He Graduated from Lindale High School, Federal Institute, TJC and Texas A & M commerce.

Ralph was preceded in death by Orville Malone, brothers Louie Kenneth Malone, Derwood Malone, and Herman Duane Malone.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Oneta Staples Malone, two children Kyle Malone and wife Luwiln of Philippines, Nina Malone Vargas and husband Robert Vargas of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Ryan Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Amanda Vargas, Chuck Malone and Brandi Malone; and two great grandchildren, Ezekiel and Kyla Mason.  Surviving siblings are: brothers James P. Malone and wife Bobbie, Chandler TX; Doyle W. Malone and wife Margie, Lindale, TX, David E. Malone and wife Linda, Lindale, TX, Sister, Norma R. Stripling and husband Joe, Lindale TX., and two long-time friends who he met while serving in the army – Dennis Ortega and Murphy Maestas.

Ralph was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, loved singing in the choir, was ordained deacon and had served as RA Leader.  He was a kind, gentle man who loved his family dearly as well as many friends.

He loved the Lord and always wanted his life to glorify God.  He was blessed by God when receiving a transplanted heart ten years ago.  Many lives have been changed by his testimony of faith and praise to God for his miracle of transplantation. . He enjoyed God's creation – gardening and working in the yard, and raising bantams and chickens.

In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in his memory to American Heart Association, East Texas Food Bank or any organization that serves the needy.
