Bradford Obit

Marge Ann Adickes Bradford, age 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 17, 2013. Marge was born on December 5th, 1933 in Palestine, TX to Alice La Merle Bender and Isaac Newton Adickes; they preceded her in death. She was married to Robert (Bunky) Lynn Bradford on March 29, 1956 in Houston, Texas. Marge is remembered for her active participation and leadership in Women’s Bible Study Fellowship, her devoted service as the children’s coordinator at Bethel Bible Church in Tyler, and her dedication to fulfilling the Great Commission as outlined in Scripture. Before her dementia took over, Marge loved spending her time with the choir of Faith Community Church in Tyler and serving meals to the people of the Salvation Army. Marge was a devoted Christian, family woman that spent her existence blessing her family and her friends in every way she could.

Marge is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 57 years, Bunky Bradford; daughter Merri Bradford Jones, and husband Benny, of Tyler; granddaughters, Jessica Jones Mize, and husband Jason, and Hannah Jones Domenech, and husband Jon, all of Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Julianna, Jason David, and Jonathan; sister, Brenda Hardt, and husband Bill; nieces, Alice Dorsey, and husband Jay, and Emily Yao, and husband Pete; nephew, Austin Hardt; and great-niece and nephews, Carson, Will, and Katie.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 19th at Lloyd James Funeral Home with a private family burial Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Christian Information Ministries (in care of Cecil Price), Faith Community Church, or Women’s Bible Study Fellowship of Tyler, TX.
